To the City of Meridian:
The riders of the Run For The Wall will be stopping in Meridian on Monday May 23rd. They are on their way to the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington DC for Memorial Day. They start their ride from California in three routes across America. Meridian is a stop on the Southern Route.
We, the Veterans Appreciation Committee of Meridian, support this event; and have done so for more than 10 years. The event is to keep the lives of those soldiers that were lost or killed during the Vietnam War and other wars America has sent American sons and daughters to.
The advance party of these riders will be doing a wreath laying ceremony at the Doughboy Monument at around 4:15 before joining the main body of about 400 motorcycles headed to the Ag Center.
The main body is supposed to arrive in Meridian around 4:45. Please help us support these riders by coming out to the I-20 overpasses of Lauderdale county from the county line to the Jimmie Rodgers Parkway exit and line the route from the JR exit to the Lauderdale County Ag Center on Highway 19 South about 4:00.
Come and volunteer support to these riders and show Meridian cares about its military personnel. Your support will be greatly appreciated.
The VAC of Meridian is a 501.c3 non-profit organization. All donations to the VAC goes to support this yearly event and local veterans in need.
Meridian is the Run For The Wall riders favorite and most appreciated stop. Come show up, show out, and show your love!
Thank you so much!
